Every year in March, San Juan Capistrano celebrates the migration of the swallows with Fiesta de las Golondrinas, or "the Swallows Parade". The parade is over 60 years old and is the largest non-motorized parade in the nation. The many events scheduled for this time of the year pay tribute to San Juan Capistrano's unique Spanish and western heritage.
